📖 Gratitude Books 📖
OVERVIEW
Dedicated to theater, dance, and music, the three-story Sloan Center houses a 200-seat black box theater (the Smith Theater), an atrium, a café, a green room, a scene shop, a costume shop, a box office, dressing rooms, a conditioning room, and more. Located next to Todd Union and near Strong Auditorium, the three buildings form a performing arts corridor on the River Campus.

This creative space would not have been made possible without
the generosity of University Life Trustee Thomas Sloan ’65, ’67 (MS) and Linda Sloan ’67. Other lead supporters include Ed Smith ’72 and Andy Lopata Smith ’72; Brian F. Prince ’82, ’89S (MBA); Drew Mittelman ’68 and Maureen Adducci; Diane Waldgeir Perlberg ’77 and Mark C. Perlberg ’78; and Richard A. Leibner ’59 and Carole Cooper Leibner.

GOALS
To highlight the contributions of these individuals, and tell their stories by showcasing their love of theater arts, we hope to share our gratitude in these books.

We also wanted to cater each book design carefully to represent the individuals and their interests, to show their character and what this space means to them while also representing the University of Rochester.
